I finished up my first piece with LEDs!
I wanted to test implementing LEDs into my figurines for a while now and finally did it.
Metroid was the piece of choice, since her design is fairly simple and clean.
-So I thought -

However - turning sculpey into a smooth, armor-like hardsurface was quite a challenge.
A lot of smoothing, carving and sanding went into this.

I'm very happy that all the LEDs survived the multiple bake-stages and me handling the figurine.
She's roughly measuring 25cm and is sculpted in polymerclay, painted with metalic spraypaints.
Build in are 12x5V LEDs powered by a micro-usb port in the back of the wooden base.

I streamed the entire process of sculpting her on twitch (www.twitch.tv/phibphilipp) where I usually stream fridays and sundays evening.
